Just another week at work, nothing too exciting this week, same old thing as every other week. On Wed. I went in at six in the morning and went to Sacramento with Captain Lee to do a tv appearance to get ready for the park opening. This is Kong one of our Tamanduas or lesser ant eaters. He was the start of the show!

On Friday I went with Eric to try and feed the gators. It was time to see if they were ready to eat after the long and cold winter. Billy and Lisa the gators werent too excited to eat yet, still a little too chilly i guess, but i did have a good time trying to get Billy to stay out of the water!

Finally it was a training session for the cubs. Its pretty funny to still call them cubs when they weigh 120 pounds or more, they are babies at heart though! They are getting to be big boys now. This is Yazhi and he is actually the runt of the three. Here I am doing a rise with him, its one of the many behaviors we work on with the boys.

We were open for our first weekend this past Saturday and Sunday. It went well, i had some difficulties with Mya the coati during our show. She is sort of in her bratty, teenager I dont want to do anything unless its my idea stage. Oh it can be frusterating when you have a crowd of people there and instead of doing her behaviors she just stares at you like what?!?! Ahh the joys of working with animals.
Apart from the animal world, Jacob and I went to look at houses today. There is so much out there right now so we are hopeing to be able to find something we can afford. With the market the way it is right now it is actually looking realistic! I found one house that i pretty much fell in love with but we are going to see what else is around. Just keep us in our prayers that we will make wise decisions. Its crazy, its almost like we are all grown up:)

Hey, Chandelle! It's Donna...Roy's wife. I cannot believe what you do for a job! How exciting, but scary! I'm sure you have many interesting stories. You're doing great on the blog. Keep it up! I enjoy reading about your life:)
Della,
I don't know if animal training or potty training is a more "scary" job!!! AAARGGHHH! Good thing I like the boy child so much. Take some house pictures too! Love you.
